Applied Materials is a prominent American multinational corporation located in Silicon Valley, California, specializing in the design and manufacturing of cutting-edge industrial machinery, services, and software utilized in semiconductor production, including microchips, flat displays, and solar cells.

We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide exceptional support to our clients and internal teams, ensuring optimal performance of Applied Materials' equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate with minimal supervision, adhering to established company protocols.
  • Oversee equipment performance and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Execute and ensure all preventative and corrective maintenance tasks are completed within specified timelines.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with equipment.
  • Diagnose and rectify hardware problems by leveraging software and process data as necessary.
  • Conduct upgrades and retrofits on existing equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to proper maintenance procedures and checklists for both corrective and preventive actions.
  • Implement correct methodologies and procedures in line with company and customer quality standards.
  • Proactively address equipment issues and escalations in a timely manner.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Participate in internal and client meetings.
  • Support management in the operation of site service business within assigned scope.
  • Assist field management in setting and achieving objectives for designated accounts.
  • Keep management informed about customer perceptions of system performance.
  • Take initiative to prevent and resolve customer-related issues.
  • May initiate projects aimed at reducing costs or enhancing uptime.
  • Flexibility to work shifts based on assignment requirements.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Computer Skills:

  • Essential skills include proficiency in Outlook and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Preferred skills include advanced software capabilities, industrial automation knowledge, problem-solving through software analysis, software coding, server administration, and computer analysis.

Education: Technical Diploma or University Degree.
